Our Services
Industry-Leading Capabilities
At North Texas Logistics we offer the following services:
■ Ocean freight services for importers
■ Local DFW Cartage Delivery Services
■ Drayage
■ Warehousing
When you’re selecting a shipment method for your freight, it’s essential to keep in mind its size, your budget, how fragile your cargo is and any time requirements. But which shipping method is best for you? That is where we can help. Let’s break it down for you.
Ocean freight services for importers
■ We offer full compliance documentation service with our in-house
Customs Broker for customs clearance.
We also provide comprehensive door-to-door tracking and reporting of your shipments including pre-alert, arrival and cargo availability.
We will guide you with practical, cost-effective advice on routing schedules and services.
FULL-TRUCK-LOAD (FTL)
“FTL” or full truckload freight is commonly used for large shipments that require taking up the entire truck. Your freight is the only freight moving on an individual truck, so you have exclusivity to the entire truck and are filling the truckload. In FTL, you do pay for the entire truck whether your goods occupy the entire space in a semi-truck carrier.
LESS-THAN-LOAD (LTL)
When you don’t have enough cargo for a full container, we can coordinate sharing space within a container. These shipments often weigh less than 10,000 pounds and require no more than 11 feet of trailer space. This offers you economical, usage-based pricing with FCL frequency, routing and visibility.
The main benefit of the LTL shipment method is you only pay for the space on the truck that you need. If you don’t ship in large quantities and are looking for something budget-friendly, consider less than truckload shipping. If your shipment is sturdy and you’re not under a time restraint, LTL shipping can be a great option.
Local DFW cartage delivery services
North Texas works with small and midsize businesses in the DFW area to enable an easy, cost-effective solution for urgent and same-day delivery. We provide highquality delivery for any item, any size, anywhere with a significant local sameday delivery footprint in the DFW area.
Whether you need a primary delivery partner or an occasional solution to supplement your existing fleet, North Texas 3PL is an easy, flexible choice that’s as good for your customers as it is for your bottom line. With three tractor trucks available to pick-up and deliver local cartage for customers in the DFW area, we offer climate-controlled pickup and delivery.
Need to add special instructions for personalized, door-todoor delivery? No problem. No bouncing from truck to truck or extra hands moving your items. We use point-to-point delivery with screened, verified drivers for your peace of mind.
Drayage services
We offer trucking of containerized cargo (drayage) from Port Houston and DFW Terminals where cargo can be tracked in real-time with our Broker Representative.
North Texas 3PL can address your drayage needs in the following ways:
Expedited drayage
Freight containers are transported quickly. This best applies to time sensitive shipments.
Shuttle drayage
Shuttle drayage involves moving an intermodal unit to a temporary stopping point. This method is used when the hub of origin might be overcrowded.
Door-to-door
Delivery by truck of container to retail customer
Inter-carrier drayage
This is what comes to mind first when most people think of the word drayage: the movement of goods between different carriers. As an example, inter-carrier drayage might involve transporting goods from a trucking terminal to a rail station.
Pier drayage
Do you need cargo to move from a rail terminal to an ocean shipping dock or pier? You might need pier drayage. This method uses highways to get freight to the pier.

We offer both month-to-month space rental as well as long-term solutions, based exclusively upon your company’s needs.
■ RECEIVE AND SHIP PALLETS
Receiving product into the warehouse is arguably the most important step in the fulfillment process. If inventory isn’t recorded accurately, mistakes will most certainly follow – resulting in everything from stock outs as well as order mis-picks.
We professionally prepare items for shipping by shrink wrapping, banding and protecting palletized shipments for transport. North Texas 3PL provides custom packaging and crating solutions for shipments that require enclosed sides. If you are shipping container freight, all our domestic and international container shipping options ensure your items are properly packed, palletized or crated for secure shipment.
■ CROSS DOCKING
Does your business sell essential, high-demand products or perishable items that have a shorter shelf life? If yes, you should consider opting for cross-docking. Cross-docking eliminates the need for a supplier to store goods before being sold to another business, thus shortening the time product can reach the end user. Efficiently and quickly receive, sort, combine and ship loads from different vendors to keep your transportation and warehousing costs at a minimum.
With cross-docking, once a bulk of product is received, it is immediately transported via a forklift, conveyor belt, or pallet truck to the outbound transportation dock. This, in turn, reduces the risk of perishable goods crossing their expiry date and offers retailers a longer sales window.
